A guy who knows how to haul stuff
Gary Sturghill got rid of his automobiles two years ago and has never looked back, in part because he has created a truly useful way to haul just about anything. Gary, who lives near downtown St. Louis, is a welder by trade. He taught himself how to make heavy-duty bicycle trailers that are easy to pull. These babies can haul up to 700 pounds! They are made of stainless steel with aluminum decks, so will never rust. The hitch is super easy to take on and off the bike.
I met Gary on Friday when he was leaving the Schnucks Culinaria downtown. He agreed to talk a bit about himself and his trailer:

Gary said he has sold 15 of his custom-built trailers. He has photos and more info on Flickr Stream at the bottom of his blog, Ways To Go Green.

most cycling friendly cities.
I will do everything that i can to help Saint Louis become one of
the most robust and cycling friendly cities in the country
Thank you so very much Karen!
