Smoothest railroad crossing in town
We all like to b****, b**** and b**** some more about all the potholes and bad streets in St. Louis. How many times do we recognize when something is finally improved? I do.
On a recent trip to “The Hill” area, I immediately noticed that the railroad crossing on Shaw Blvd. between S. Vandeventer & S. Kingshighway had finally been repaved! It’s smoooooth. No, not as smooth as a baby’s butt, but a heck-of-a lot better than before. No R/R crossing is that smooth. This makes life much easier, especially coming down the hill, heading back eastbound.
They’ve also repaved a whole one block area (he said sarcastically) between Compton & Louisiana on Lafayette. Now, when will they repave the rest of Lafayette? Thy also did a small one block stretch of Louisiana from Lafayette to Henrietta.
One step at a time, I guess.
